The furthest east of the islands, San Cristobal is often visited at the start or end of many of the Galapagos cruise itineraries. Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, a quiet town located on the south-west coast, has a wonderful interpretation centre focusing on the human and natural history of the islands. Other highlights include snorkelling around islets at Kicker Rock, swimming with sea-lions at Lobos Bay or a visit to the turtle reserve in Cerro Colorado.
