San Cristobal is one of the oldest islands and was Charles Darwin’s first stop in the Galapagos. Eroded volcanic peaks, sandy beaches and lush vegetated highlands; San Cristobal is the only island that is home to all three species of boobie: blue-footed, Nazca and red-footed. There is a tortoise reserve, as well as a very good interpretation centre in Puerto Baquierzo Moreno. Kicker Rock is also a popular snorkelling site.
